Callan English for kids

Callan for Kids is a 6-step Callan Method English course for children.
The course enables you to progress from a complete beginner’s level to A2 level. Due to the essence of the Callan Method, which is to thoroughly practice previously introduced material, each class introduces a maximum of 5 pages from the textbook.
Grammar and vocabulary are carefully and systematically introduced and practised in six stages. The course includes all the content that children need to know in order to pass exams such as the Cambridge Pre-A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers tests. At the end of Stage 4, children are ready to prepare for the CEFR A1 exams. By the end of Stage 6, they are ready for exams in CEFR A2. And most importantly, children will be able to communicate in English with ease.

- During the classes there is an extremely energetic atmosphere, which translates into constant focus and interest of the students
- The fast pace and constant involvement mean that the participants of the classes do not glance at their watch out of boredom – there is no time for that! The essence of the Callan Method is that every participant is equally active during the class. There are a number of rules applied during lessons that translate into sustained attention. An example of one of these is that the lecturers do not call out the students, but only point to them – this keeps the participants in constant eye contact with the teacher.

- Grammar learning

- Obligatory oral exam at the end of each stage of learning

How do others teach?
Limited Participation
In traditional classes, students often only speak when they feel comfortable or are directly prompted. Much of the lesson is spent working silently on written exercises or reading answers aloud.
